Fuzzy linear programming technique for multiattribute group decision making in fuzzy environments

چکیده
The aim of this paper is to develop a linear programming technique for multidimensional analysis of preferences in multiattribute group decision making under fuzzy environments. Fuzziness is inherent in decision data and group decision making processes, and linguistic variables are well suited to assessing an alternative on qualitative attributes using fuzzy ratings. A crisp decision matrix can be converted into a fuzzy decision matrix once the decision makers’ fuzzy ratings have been extracted. In this paper, we first define group consistency and inconsistency indices based on preferences to alternatives given by decision makers and construct a linear programming decision model based on the distance of each alternative to a fuzzy positive ideal solution which is unknown. Then the fuzzy positive ideal solution and the weights of attributes are estimated using the new decision model based on the group consistency and inconsistency indices. Finally, the distance of each alternative to the fuzzy positive ideal solution is calculated to determine the ranking order of all alternatives. A numerical example is examined to demonstrate the implementation process of the technique. 2003 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

A fuzzy inhomogenous multiattribute group decision making approach to solve outsourcing provider selection problems
Considering various situations and characteristics of supply chain management, we regard the outsourcing provider selection as a type of fuzzy inhomogenous multiattribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems with fuzzy alternatives’ comparisons and incomplete weight information. Hereby we focus on developing a new fuzzy linear programming method for solving such MAGDM problems. In this method...

The Linear Programming Technique for Multidimensional Analysis of Preference (LINMAP) developed by Srinivasan and Shocker [V. Srinivasan, A.D. Shocker, Linear programming techniques for multidimensional analysis of preference, Psychometrika 38 (1973) 337–342] is one of the existing well-known methods for multiattribute decision making (MADM) problems. However, the LINMAP only can deal with MADM...
متن کاملA multiattribute decision making approach using intuitionistic fuzzy sets
The concept of intuitionistic fuzzy sets is the generalization of the concept of fuzzy sets. The theory of intuitionistic fuzzy sets is well suited to dealing with vagueness. Recently, intuitionistic fuzzy sets have been used to build soft decision making models that can accommodate imprecise information, and two solution concepts about the intuitionistic fuzzy core and the consensus winner for...
متن کاملA New Compromise Decision-making Model based on TOPSIS and VIKOR for Solving Multi-objective Large-scale Programming Problems with a Block Angular Structure under Uncertainty
This paper proposes a compromise model, based on a new method, to solve the multi-objective large-scale linear programming (MOLSLP) problems with block angular structure involving fuzzy parameters. The problem involves fuzzy parameters in the objective functions and constraints. In this compromise programming method, two concepts are considered simultaneously. First of them is that the optimal ...

The objective of this paper is to present a technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) algorithm to linear fractional bi-level multi-objective decision-making problem. TOPSIS is used to yield most appropriate alternative from a finite set of alternatives based upon simultaneous shortest distance from positive ideal solution (PIS) and furthest distance from negative ...
